Due to rapid advancement and turnover rate, demand for

program, the student will have been trained in the following areas:
restaurant service, hot food preparation, short order cooking, banquet
service, food service safety, sanitation, and related math and nutrition
skills.
The student will train in commercial foods kitchen and
serve breakfast and lunch in the Beaver County BCCTC restaurant to the
general public. Evening banquets and afternoon buffets provide additional
learning opportunities.
Upon graduation from the BCCTC Food Preparation Class,
the student may become employed in any of the areas in which she/he has
been trained and apprentice under a certified chef. Students may also
attend a two (2) or four (4) year school for Culinary Arts or Commercial
Food Service Management such as the Community College of Beaver County’s
Culinary Arts program, Penn State Beaver’s Hotel Restaurant and
Institutional Food Service Management program, or one of several culinary
schools in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Students have the opportunity to

class. Those students choosing to take the
"ServSafe" Food Safety Certification class may receive college
