Instructor: Mr. Kenneth Hogue

The Electronic Technology Program provides a foundation in the principles of the electronic field. Electronics is an ever changing and interesting choice as a career. Related theory is presented through actual laboratory experiments and projects a practical reinforcement.

This program includes instruction in subatomic physics and electrons as applied to the Basic Laws of Electronics. Students construct circuits used in basic and advanced electronic systems. This practical application is presented in a laboratory setting as it is in industry. Students use equipment such as: soldering irons, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes and digital frequency counters while learning to build, diagnose, and repair electronic circuits using schematic diagrams.

Upon completion of the program, a student can be employed as a technician trainee. If a student would like to continue for further education advanced standing can be received at Community College of Beaver County and most post secondary schools for associate degrees.
