Electrical Occupations

Instructor: Mr. Ronald Opsatnik

This two-year course is designed to give the students a broad background in residential, commercial, and industrial wiring. Training will be provided in the areas of layout, assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment. Instruction will also be provided in the reading and understanding of residential, commercial, and industrial wiring based on the National Electrical Code.

If you have the following qualifications, then you should enroll in the course: average math ability, good manual dexterity, common sense, good mechanical aptitude, doing neat and accurate work, good physical coordination, and the willingness to learn.

This course offers experience in installation of switches, fixtures, receptacles, cables, conduits, circuit breakers, meters, and many other electrical devices. The course also offers proper use of hand tools, instruments, conduit benders, electrical drills, electrical equipment, and other tools.

This course could give you advanced standing at the Community College of Beaver County and several other trade schools in the area.
