has opened up the world of computing to small, medium and home businesses.
Instruction includes: Introduction to Computer
Concepts: the history and background of the profession; Suite
Software: utilization of word processing, database, spreadsheet and
presentation packages, Office Technology: your work environment; Network
Computing: hardware, software and information resource sharing; Desktop
Publishing: graphic and design of office support publications; Internet:
exploring the World Wide Web; Projects: analyzing problems for
implementation on a computer and determining their feasibility on the
computer system.
Problems to be solved provide students with practical
experience needed for daily operations within the business environment.
Students will work in the business environment computer labs using the
most current suite software, PC hardware, notebook computers, color and
laser printers, scanners and graphic presentation equipment.
